Awesome product

This is a new launched product of Autel. My friend bought a MD802 which works very good. This one is an updated version of MD802. It has a bigger screen and memory, and seems the scanning speed is a little bit faster scanning all systems. A very good diagnostic tool.

Works well

Works well for my 2014 Ford escape on live data, clearing code. It’s easy to diagnose and does everything advertised. The screen is really big and clear to read. It scans fast and stores the information.

Works good. It reads the VIN automatically, I don’t need to input the VIN number manually.

Big bonus save $$$

I purchased this unit one month ago. It has oil service reset, battery registration and reset, parking brake pad relearn after replacement, steering angle sensor relearn and diesel particulate filter regeneration functions. Not to mention the full functionality of access to all electronic modules with a price of under $300, there is no need to say more.

good functionality at good price

Several attempts to scan the vehicles of my family ( BMW X3 Mercedes Benz new C300 ) with different code readers, but this is a very professional one that could do more than those basic under $100. One of my mechanic friend who works in Mercedes dealership was very surprised by the functionality of MD808 Pro " exactly same as what the OE tool does"

What a tool

This is a tool which can give you all you need when you are doing fault detection. Previously I owed launch CRP129 bought from our local distributor with $495, and I have used it on some different cars from my neighboring customers. From my perspectives as a pro home mechanic, I have to say Launch CRP129 is a very useful tool giving you the most fault information on four major systems (Engine, Transmission, ABS and SRS), However when it comes to fault detection on the late vehicles, it seems that CRP129 has a big limitation to access those common modules like (Instrument Panel Control Module, Immobilizer Module, Body Control Module and Parking Brake Control Module). Recently I bought this Autel newly-released model MD808PRO which is able to offer full access to all electronic modules of majority of vehicles on the road rather than buying a thousand dollar cost scan tool like Snap-on ETHOS+ whose functionalities are mostly same as MD808PRO. When this tool arrived, I had tried a few cars and I just found this tool could be the best diagnostic tool that I’ve ever had. Full confidence, no more guesswork, great price and also great product.

I never thought I would need to buy an automotive scanner until the check engine light lights up on my car. I was very nervous about this and thought about getting rid of the car after finding a cheap car shop to repair. My friend suggested me to try this scanner. I plugged in the scanner and the code was explained. That was so easy! I then searched the error code online and to my surprise, I found out a service bulletin for it! I was able to drive the car to a dealer and fix it for free! I feel so fortunate to try the scanner on my own instead of paying someone directly to diagnose and reset the light. I could have spent more money than the cost of the scanner. The report dealer provided shows exactly what my scanner says, which makes me very confident about my car. I start to love my car again. I always feel cheated when car shops suggested repairs and this is the first time I feel confident. I highly recommend it even though you may not want to repair the car yourself. It helps you to make an informed decision.

I have never before changed the brake pads of my VW with Auto Hold function. When I sent my car to the workshop, the mechanic had wanted $200 to service my brake pad.  However, since I bougth this tool, I was able to do it by myself. And also I was surprised to see it works with resetting the battery management systerm after I changed the new battery. It is a great tool that helps you to save a lot of money.

 I got this MD808 Pro a dozen days ago, and I was anxious about this tool because someone said it doesn’t support TMPS which is one of the reasons I purchased this item. But when I used it, the anxiety gone immediately. Though there is no icon displayed for TMPS, you could find TMPS under "Diagnostic"=>"2 Control Unit"=>"13 TPMS". I want everything to be perfect. So I was guided by the TMPS information to pump 4 tires of my vehicle to be exactly the same pressure. Couldn’t be happier to have this tool. I’m testing more fancy functions about this tool.

This tool is a must to have for automobile enthusiasts. The pro version can access all available modules and the convenience of retrieving live data. Updating the tool is seamless using Maxi PC Suit. The lifetime updates is a plus! However, the picture display that the pro version can read TPMS data which is not an option to select from in the tool main menu. I still give this tool 5 stars due to its abundant capabilities.

I’m really pleased I purchased this scantool. It does everything I need it to do. Scans codes from all modules at one time or I individually. Gives data streams from all modules . Clears codes from all modules with the push of a single button or you can clear them one by one. I’ve used Autel professional tablet scan tool and loved it. This unit is slower, but gets the job done. I wish they made one like this with bi-directional controls! But for what it costs, I will not complain.

Purchased this about 20 days ago. It’s a real good tool. It reads and clears codes in all available system modules for my car. And it’s easy to choose auto scan all available module or just select each module individually. It also can clear codes from all modules with the push of a single button or clear them one by one. The speed of scanning is faster than my friend’s old one. Give it 5-star.

The best scanner money can buy

I don’t trust mechanic shops and even dealers, as I had really bad experience with both options, so I’ve been servicing and fixing my cars myself for many years. I was looking for a replacement for my retired Actron. I reviewed a few brands and models and decided to give a chance to Autel MD808 Pro due to 3 reasons. 1. It works with almost all brands and models 1996 and later 2. It checks virtually all systems 3. It comes with life time update I bought it from MikingLZ because I wanted to buy the scanner from an authorized dealer to avoid warranty related problems. The scanner came in a solid plastic carrying case which contained the scanner in rugged rubber case, OBD/CAN interface cable, a USB cable for updating the scanner software and a user’s manual. By the time the scanner was delivered, SRS light on my Acura RLX came on, so needless to say that I couldn’t wait to test the scanner. So once I received the scanner I found myself in the garage with the scanner in my hand. I connected the scanner to OBD II port and it booted up within a few seconds. I was offered to choose region and manufacturer and then enter VIN. Immediately upon the following menu popped up Scan Setup Check Engine Playback I went directly to SCAN and started READ ERROR CODEs. The scanner gave the error in a few seconds. . As the SRS Light came on immediately upon replacing the battery I had a sneaking suspition it was just a glitch, but I wanted needed to localize the problem to fix it if there was one. So I headed to ERASE CODEs and started it. In a sec the the SRS light was gone. I started the engine a few times and drove the car a few miles. The error never came back, which meant my guess was correct and there was nothing wrong with SRS. So MD808 Pro saved me a few hours of work required for removing the chairs and checking the relevant components. I already new I made a right choice ordering MD808 Pro. However I digged deeper to test other functions. I was really amazed with the functionality of this device. Basically it does all I need and even more. It reads and clears codes, reads, records and plays back live data for all systems. Reads and clears error codes, controls and tests BMS/Oil Reset/ SRS/EPB/DPF systems Resets oil service intervals Supports battery registration and reset Resets steering angle sensor (SAS) functionality Relearns parking brake pad after replacement Resets service mileage and service intervals Turns off ECU brake warning light Tests I/M readiness and components, O2 monitor Can print diagnostic reports on printer. Add to all these features large industrial LCD display and detailed manual and you get a fully loaded and featured auto scanner for DIY projects.

a must have tool !

This is a full System scanner not a four system one. My purpose for this scanner was to clear a 2011 Honda SRS Code and TPMS code. After read the review, I know it has tmps for Honda. I don’t trust mechanic shops or dealers who always recommend me do something. It was so easy to use this tool do clear the code. The live data could show exactly what’s wrong the TPMS and other system. Would recommmand it to my friend.

Excellent product and well packaged

Product works great. Had issues with my ECM and it helped me to pinpoint the problem on my 2008 impala LTZ. It came defaulted in spanish but they were nice enough to email me the information to reset language quickly and have the english manual. Would recommend this for anyone who likes to complete their own maintenance.

Grat all around scan tool for the money!

Being a repair shop manager you understand the importance of a good scan tool. That being said, you understand the more you want it to do, the more it will cost. The Maxi Diag is the balance I was looking for. It’s database is large, it works well on foreign and domestics, and is relatively quick for the large database it has. There have been a few cars that it was slow on, but overall it does great. You can choose quick scan or dedicated scan for all modules. Auto I.D. works great as well. It is able to pull codes that some more advanced scanners havent. It does very well with oil reminder resets, and eletric e-brakes. I would say it may shine best with European, but does very well with all I’ve scanned. This would be perfect for a DIY guy/gal. There are scanners that may do some things better, but for broad range overall diagnostic scanner, for the money, I’m not sure it can’t be beat.

A remarkable tool

For the price this scanner will give most DIY auto mechanics a good grasp in determining a good pathway in fixing their cars. The main reason I purchased the MD808 Pro was so I could get a transmission fluid temperature reading for my 2010 Toyota 4runner which has a sealed system but that doesn’t mean you don’t change the trans fluid. Unfortunately this scanner does not provide that information even after updating through the Autel web site and using live data readouts. But what it does offer is an enormous amount of data that can keep any auto mechanic busy for days. I have read scanguage II will give trans fluid temps for a Toyota which I will probably use instead of going through bluetooth or an ir thermometer. Update: After contacting Autel (Vivian T.) to inquire regarding transmissions temps, this was their response, "Engineers checking confirm that Transmission temps (TFT) is not supported by none of our scanners."
