What Situation VXDAS Provides Return Policy?
- Mis-Ordered Products: If you ordered the wrong item by mistake and need to exchange it for the correct one, you can return it. However, you must bear the shipping costs for both sending the item back to us and the freight for shipping the new item back to you.
- Quality Issues: If our products do not work well upon arrival or suffer damage during delivery, our return policy will apply—provided that the issue is verified by our technical team.
- Non-Quality Issues (Change of Mind): In particular situations, after our customer service reviews your case, a return may be accepted. Under this condition, we will deduct the original shipping fee PLUS a 15% restocking fee from your final refund.
What Situation VXDAS DOES NOT Provide Return Policy?

- Failure to Provide Proof: The customer is unable or refuses to provide clear pictures of the product issue and a short video showing their operation.
- Refusal to Cooperate: The customer refuses to cooperate with our technical support team for a remote check (via TeamViewer or AnyDesk) to verify the problem.
- Unauthorized Disassembly (Anti-Tampering Rule): The device housing has been opened, unscrewed, or dismantled by the customer without our official tech team’s written permission.
- Man-Made Damage: The item is damaged due to improper personal use, physical drops, or incorrect installation.
What if a Customer Insists on Returning the Item Anyway?
If a customer refuses to cooperate with our technical verification process but insists on shipping the item back without our official return authorization:
- All Costs on Customer: The customer must fully bear the return shipping fee AND any customs clearance fees/import duties incurred when the parcel arrives at our warehouse. VXDAS will not pay for any customs-due parcels.
- Strict Deduction: We will only process a refund AFTER we receive the complete package in its original, undamaged sealed packaging. From the final refund, we will strictly deduct the original shipping postage fee PLUS a 15% restocking fee.
How to Return Items to VXDAS? (With Authorization)
After all details are confirmed and a return is officially agreed upon by VXDAS sales, please follow this process:
- Return Shipping Method: VXDAS strongly recommends using Registered Mail , EMS, DHL, UPS or FEDEX to return the parcel. Please only send it to the shipping address provided by our Customer Service. Without our prior permission, we are not responsible for parcels lost or rejected through unapproved express couriers.
- Return Shipping Window: All returns for a refund or exchange must be completed within 14 days of receiving our official return authorization. You must ship the item out and provide the return tracking number with shipping invoice details to your VXDAS sales representative.
2. Refund Policy (Including Order Cancellation)
You can apply for a refund within 14 days from the date you received the goods. The detailed rules are as follows:

- Cancel the Order Before Shipping (Personal Reasons): If you request to cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it and before it has been shipped, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from your total refund to cover payment gateway transaction fees and handling costs.
- Cancel the Order After Shipping (In Transit or Delivered): If you request a cancellation or return after the package has been shipped, you are responsible for the return process. We will deduct the original shipping postage fee PLUS a 15% restocking fee from your final refund. The item must be returned 100% unopened and in its original sealed packaging.
- Technical & Quality Issues (Mandatory Verification): Automotive diagnostic tools involve professional hardware and complex software environments. If you report a quality defect or a technical issue, you MUST follow our verification process:
- Proof Required: You MUST provide clear photos of the error message and a short operation video showing how you connected and operated the device. (Product S/N is not required).
- Remote Inspection: You MUST cooperate with our technical support team for a remote check (via TeamViewer). Our technicians must officially inspect and confirm the issue remotely before any return or refund can be authorized.
- Return Shipping for Quality Issues: If our technical team confirms a hardware or software defect via photos/video/remote check and it cannot be fixed, we will fully cover the return shipping cost. If you refuse to provide photos/videos or decline the remote technical inspection, your request will automatically be processed as a “Change of Mind” (personal reason) return, meaning you must pay for the return shipping yourself.
- Stock Issues: If a product is out of stock, we will email you to check if you prefer an exchange or a full refund.
- Lost in Transit: If the shipping company confirms the product is lost in transit, we will provide a full refund or resend a new item.

- The customer has received the goods for over 14 business days.

When Can You Get the Refund?
Usually, we will only issue the refund after the returned item is received and inspected by our warehouse (within 2-3 business days). If the returned product is opened, used, damaged, or shows signs of self-disassembly, corresponding damage costs will be deducted, or the refund request may be rejected entirely. Once approved, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method within 7 business days.
3. Repair Policy
In-Warranty Period (1-Year Warranty)
Most diagnostic tools and software from VXDAS come with a 1-year warranty, free repair, and 1-year free updates during the warranty period.
- How to claim: You must first provide your order number, problem pictures, and operation videos to our customer service technicians to confirm the problem. If the problem cannot be solved remotely, we will guide you on how to send the product back for repair.
- Shipping Fees: You will bear the shipping cost of sending the tool to VXDAS. Once the repair is completed and tested, VXDAS will bear the shipping cost to send it back to you.
Out-of-Warranty Period
Products purchased over 1 year ago or items with man-made damage (due to improper use) are out of warranty. A repair fee and return shipping fee will apply. Please consult our sales staff regarding specific maintenance costs before sending items back.
4. Warranty Policy
- One-Year Quality Warranty: All diagnostic tools and software from VXDAS include a one-year quality warranty period. (Note: 1-time remote service or customized services are not covered. Some specific brand products enjoy a 2-year warranty).
- Strict Quality Control: Before shipping, all goods are rigorously tested by vxdas.com engineers. We check basic hardware/software functions, appearance, packaging, accessories, and power adapter standards to ensure full functionality.
- Exceptions: This warranty policy applies to all items except those that explicitly state “No Warranty” in their product descriptions (such as certain chips or single-use components).
🚨 What Voids the Warranty Automatically? (Void Warranty Scope)
To protect our brand and coordinate with original factory policies, the standard 1-year warranty will be instantly and permanently voided if the device falls under any of the following scenarios:
- Unauthorized Disassembly: If the customer opens, unscrews, dismantles, the internal hardware board of the device by themselves without our written permission. (Most units contain anti-tamper warranty stickers; broken seals will result in immediate warranty termination).
- Wearable Consumables: Main test cables, OBD2 adapters, and power cords are subject to daily wear and tear. These accessories are covered under a 30-day arrival-defect warranty and are excluded from the 1-year main unit warranty.
- End-of-Life (Discontinued) Models: If a model has been officially discontinued and the manufacturing factory has permanently closed its production line, we will no longer have access to original spare parts. Hardware repair will not be supported for these models, though software support will remain accessible whenever available.
- Fatal Hardware Failure (Main Chip Damage): If the device’s main IC/CPU chip is permanently burned, cracked, or short-circuited (often caused by vehicle voltage surges, improper power input, or unapproved firmware modifications), the hardware is physically irreparable.

5. Governing Law & Business Entity
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong, together with all other applicable local laws relevant to the merchant’s operations. Very useful if you don’t want to be ripped off for benign light engine codes
I have two old Hondas, a 2004 civic and a 2008 accord. While the accord has been very good, I have had some problems with the civic on longer drives. Light engine and tpms sensor light comes up when they shouldn’t (tire pressure was okay and I had no idea what might be wrong with the engine). I paid for diagnosis three times throughout (almost) long drives which I was ripped off twice, once for gas cap and once faulty oxygen sensor, both of which I would’ve waited to go back home for fixing. Got this scanner, which is bluetooth, I’ve used it on both of my cars already (comes with a free lifetime software for one car). Pretty handy and a relieve of mind during long drives. Bluetooth works amazingly smooth ( I use android).

Best Way to Clear Codes
I needed a OBD2 scanner that could also clear codes. I was tired of the dealer charging $150 just to clear the check engine light among other codes after I had already made repairs. Most scanners can do diagnostics but once you fix the issue you are still left with the code on the dash. The AP200 hooks your car right up to the phone and lets you clear all the codes. Most vehicles accumulate a number of error during their lifetime, even when there is nothing wrong with the car. I had a situation when a potential buyer backed off after seeing a long list of errors during pre-purchase diagnostic. I believe this error were a result of one time battery discharge. So, I bought this tool and reset all the errors. A month later there are no error, so I’m sure it was nothing to worry about. The app has a very intuitive UI and easy to use. Connected via Bluetooth on first try. Compact and capable, very useful to have.

Great tool
This is an ideal scanner for people like me who want to diagnose the car wirelessly. At first, I got a vehicle link error, and the Autel Tech. Support contacted me pretty soon. They told me a trick: make sure the ignition is on and the dongle scanner is connected into the DLC port, then turn the ignition off, wait for 10 seconds, and turn the ignition on, again wait for 10 seconds. After that, the issue would be magically solved!

I bought my car with a plethora of lights illuminated on the dash (I know, dumb) but I’m a pretty good mechanic and had a good idea of what was causing each of the lights but without knowing the exact trouble code, I wasn’t going to just start replacing parts willy-nilly. Now I’ve had Bluetooth OBD scanners in the past, but they were only capable of the most simple features such as read and erase codes. Not to mention they didn’t have their own app, just some generic app. Here’s where the autel Bluetooth scanner stands apart. It has its own app, full of useful features! I was able to identify what airbags were disconnected, see that the steering angle sensor was faulty, find what Tom’s sensor was bad, along with seeing old codes that have since been repaired. I also really appreciate that I can leave the scanner plugged in and don’t have to bother with cables and navigating difficult to use menus. I highly recommend this scanner.

Not the simplest nto use but not that difficult either. I had a basic obd2 reader already but had SRS airbag warnings which are not covered by basic testers. I also have a Suzuki which isn’t covered by most of the extended Bluetooth testers. This one does support it and I was able to read the SRS codes. Couldn’t give it 5 stars because it doesn’t support Android 10. It just crashes. Had to use an old Android 8 phone. First manufacturer is free, u have to pay for each additional on. But still way cheaper than any other code reader.

I got this to have in the glovebox for on the go diagnostic sessions for my car. I’m comparing it with my Autel DS808 & SD Connect C4. I own two bigger, more intense testers for this particular car (W212 Mercedes Benz) So far, the little guy sees all the modules the other two see, can correctly show live data and erase DTCs. Unlike the DS808 where you can perform actuations and calibrations, the AP200 does not allow that. You can only do oil interval resets and SAG reset & calibration from the dedicated service tab. No Airmatic or any other sort of calibrations/actuations. That’s a bit disappointing. For 70$ I was hoping they’d include that. Maybe in a future update. The only thing I don’t like about this is how slow it is. It took it about 15minutes to do an auto scan of all my 49 modules in the W212. The DS808 does that in half the time and the C4 in 2 minutes. Overall this is worth it if you want o have a easy to use solution for checking your codes on your car or even following plotted live data. Just be ready for a long wait.

This is s full function OBD2, u can do every thing same as mechanics shop, throttle, TPMS programming, it will give every single sensor value electrical , pressure , temperature , also freeze frame function , this the value for sensors of that system when the fault is detected.

Not a bad unit for some people
Its not for the amateur mechanic or phone user. I had to download 2 apps to use on my phone but for me it’s no biggie. Then I had to make an account and I didnt like that. We have enough of our information floating around as it is. Then after all that it seems the unit is for 1 car only and is locked to my car now. If it was a tuner I could see that but being what it is I don’t see that.

Binds to only ONE Phone/tablet, cannot be moved to another, If that phone dies, so does the Autel.
This reply was received from Autel Technical Support person Paul Andrade. I asked if I could test out my new ap200 using my Android phone and then move it to a new to be purchased Android tablet: “im sorry but the ap200 cannot be used with another phone or tablet it is only binded to one phone and one phone only once it is binded the first time if you want to use it with another phone you will need to buy a whole another seperate ap200”. Other info burried in the Autel site says that one automobile manufacturer’s software is included in the price of the ap200 and does not expire and can be used forever and cannot be transferred to another Android drvice. ALSO the web site implies that additional auto manufacturer’s software can be purchased and that this additional software CAN be moved to other Android devices. BUT this software expires in ONE year; Most software is under $20 so is worth it although a bit annoying to have it go dead just when needed. Check out on Youtube the “South Main Auto Repair” channel where Eric has kind things to say about this Autel product.

Not an entry level “reset the light” kind of tool
The Autel AP200 is not the typical Bluetooth dongle for OBD. Autel makes professional level diagnostics so their products are geared towards people who are at least advanced hobbyists. If you just want to reset a check engine light or if you think that whatever the codes relate to needs to be changed- this isn’t for you. Depending on what you use this on, it can do more “stuff” than the typical similar unit. On the car upon which I tried this, my 2015 ZL1 Camaro, I was able to access things normal simple scanners can’t. Every module was visible and the sheer amount of data available to me was impressive- reminds me of my big Autel DS708 which has served me well for a decade now. I can relearn steering angle sensor, run the ABS pump for brake bleeding and other useful things. There’s a slight downside which is primarily the reason this isn’t for the casual user, and that’s the way Autel licenses their software. You get a freebie with the unit, but let’s say I wanted to dig into the OBD system of my 2020 Acadia- I’d have to buy that license. This is normal in the professional car repair world. You do need to create an account when you use it the first time, but heed this advice: Create your account on their web site FIRST and not when you first try to use it. Summary: If you just want to reset a light, this is more than what you need. If you have a car which you really want detailed information and you understand the systems- this is a real tool. Personally, I love it.

I installed the Toyota pack and everything seems to be functioning ok. has a lot of features that I haven’t had the opportunity to use yet. Easy to setup on my iPhone and getting up and running took less then 10 minutes. The OBDII dongle is just a smooth plastic housing so there is no grip and removing it is a little difficult. They should put some rubber overmolding or ridges in the housing for grip so its easy to pull out. I did notice that it does take some time to get the readings and update as compared to other ones but the interface is pretty easy to use. The one major complaint I have is that it only comes with one manufacture pack. To add additional vehicles you need to purchase a annual subscription for each manufacture. I think this stinks, as a DIY user its not often that I will need to use this and will likely be more then a year between use so each time I would have to pay again. I can see how since the unit is so cheap they need to make some money but a one time purchase for each manufacture would be ok with me, I just don’t want to have to pay each year.

This OBD2 scanner is like nothing I have seen before. When I first picked it to review; I didn’t really believe that it would have the capabilities that it does. I have a few OBD2 bluetooth dongles that I typically use with an application called torque. In general they are good for code scanning and clearing and other basic data logging and general sensor diagnostics. This scanner however takes it to a whole different level. Each car brand costs $22/year to have access to (although some brands are grouped like “GM” is one brand and “nissan / Infiniti” is compatible. This scanner comes with one brand for free; so I picked Infiniti since I have 2 of those at home here. I was able to connect to every system in my QX80 and my G35 (see screenshots). This tool was able to diagnose problems that I never knew existed and reset errors in systems that had been there for years. Using this tool I was able to clear my Airbag and ABS light from my G35 and reset the AWD system in my QX80. Both of those are dealer-only services and I was able to perform them with my phone. If you are a car person like I am; then you know just how valuable this is for vehicle diagnostics and maintenance. As typically a single scan of your car in the dealer costs more than this whole tool does…. With all that being said; the app is a bit clunky. You need multiple apps for certain car brands (although it unifies them into one interface) and reading / connecting / erasing different systems takes a while. For example; it takes 5 minutes to connect & read the HVAC system in my QX80, and took 4 minutes to read and diagnose the ABS system in my G35. However most other systems were quite fast; so YMMV depending on your car brand and what you want to scan. Thankfully the app does give you the ability to choose which system you want to scan so that you don’t have to wait for each system to be polled and scanned as this process took over 15 minutes on my QX and 10 minutes on my G35. If you are in the market for something like this, or you know you will be able to understand and use it; then it is a great value. If you aren’t really a car person or you are just looking for a OBD scanner tool; then I would look elsewhere as this tool is complicated and not really for rookies to play around with. Perfect for keys
I got this to save me a trip to the dealer for replacement keys. I a key from amazon and got it cut by my local hardware store. Then I used this to program that key to my honda. Worked flawlessly and pays for itself in 1 use. I also still have the tool in case I ever need to work on a Honda again. Super easy to setup and use on my android. Very impressed!

Being a shade tree mechanic, this scanner is the best option for a large range of scanning capabilities if you are tech savvy. Bought to troubleshoot ABS sensor on my 2016 Silverado and not many scanners handle ABS. I was able to resolve my problem. Keep in mind, you may need to download more apps,etc.. to use for your vehicle. This fact threw me off for a bit. The fact this license validates to 1 vehicle (more will cost you extra) is an annoyance but let’s be real, this is cheap enough that it isn’t a negative. I’d gladly buy a new one for each of my cars just to avoid the dealership and their $100+ diagnostic fee just to identify the problem before repairing it. I keep my cars so this scan tool will get a lot of mileage.
