How to Install
1.Loosening the tire: Remove the valve cap and core and deflate the tire. Use the bead loosener to unseat the tire bead.
2.Dismounting the tire: Clamp the tire onto the tire changer, and adjust the valve at 1 o’clock relative to the tire separation head. Insert the tire tool and lift the tire bead onto the mounting head to dismount the bead.
3.Dismounting the sensor: Remove the screw nut from the valve stem, and then remove the sensor assembly from the rim.
4.Mounting sensor and valve: Connect the sensor body and valve stem at a suitable angle (normally use the maximum angle of 30 degrees) and tighten the screw.
5.Remove the screw nut from the valve stem.
6.Slide the valve stem through the valve hole of the rim with the sensor on the inside of the rim.
7.Tighten the screw-nut with 4.0 nm with the help of the positioning pin.
8.Mounting the tire: Place the tire on the rim, make sure that the valve faces the separation head at an angle of 180 degrees. Mount the tire over the rim.

Not working – will not program?
Sensor pressure is King! The tire must be deflated under SENSOR 10 psi yep do not trust your tire gauge, make sure it is at zero psi. Then it should program just fine, yep if you have installed them and inflated the tire, you must completely deflate and remove the valve core (to be sure). Then they will program. Once programmed they must be at the DOOR panel factory setting to program to the vehicle. Remember it is the SENSOR pressure which probably off from your expensive tire gauge. So scan the sensor for its pressure than add or subtract air then rescan and repeat until correct. remember front and rear tires often have different door placard pressures. Once you have all that done then you are set and “Bob’s your uncle” (you got this beat). unless you wish to reprogram in which case you will have to depressurize and repeat. ha ha ha ha So Much fun. The sensors work great and last a long time.

Seem to work well so far
I put these on a 2005 E55 AMG. Pretty straightforward to install if you have the right tools to do it. The really nice thing about these is that they can be used for 433 MHz and 315 MHz cars. I programmed them to be 315 MHz and my car seems to be able to read them OK. I will see how long these last. I put Mobiletron ones on my other car and they worked initially but now they do not work. They take a long time to wake up. These Autel ones seem to wake up pretty quickly so we will see. Programming is not super intuitive with the TS401 but works OK. I think people reporting DOAs don’t realize that these need the Autel programmer to program and activate. I tried just reading them before programming just as a test and they would not react at all. It would be good if Autel put clear warnings every where they could that these need to be programmed first. Hope they last. I will report back if they do not.

Has to be cloned/programmed with serial number and frequency.
I bought the Autel TPMS MaxiPAD (did they panel-test the name?) while all 5 sensors on my 2009 Highlander were working and recorded the sensor ID numbers of the old sensors in the wheels. A year later the first sensor failed, and I bought 5 replacements here. At first they wouldn’t program with just the sensor ID number, and cloning them from a good sensor failed too. I updated the PC software and the PAD firmware and then everything worked. I kept the sensors as far separated as possible to avoid reading and writing the wrong ones. My tires were too new to replace, so I had a tire shop replace the five cloned sensors for fifty bucks. Before that I tried to do one myself using YouTube instructions, but I couldn’t come close to generating the force need to access the rim form the inside. Anyway, 5/5 new sensors worked after replacement. If Costco will really do the whole job for sixty bucks a wheel, that’s a better deal for most people, but I saved some money and had some fun. BTW, if the sensors are dead and you don’t have the ID numbers, they are printed on the old sensor bodies, and you can program these Autel sensors after they’re installed.

I purchase this product for my 370z. Since installation I am unable to reset the TMS as no recognizable code appears in the reader. I am trying who to program these sensors without available code to reset.

This is not “Clamp-In” This is a “Screw-In”
Really, They both work anyway. But I tried to get a Clamp-In and they sent me another Screw-In. So I said whatever and it worked! I used it on my 2009 RAV4 using a MaxiTPMS TS501 using Manual Entry because I don’t trust the tool writing data into my car. It worked regardless.

My first adventure into the world of cloning sensors….
……and it worked perfectly! Used an Autel TS508 to make an identical coded winter set for my daughter’s 2018 Toyota RAV4. Follow the instructions! Keep all of the sensors well separated as you go thru the process so that you get 4 unique sensors matching the original (Pacific Industries, IIRC) units 1 for 1. Also, make sure your software on the tool is up to date as they’ve released several revisions since I bought the tool. When the first snow approached we swapped the winter set of 4 in, stashed the 3 season set in the attic of the garage, and the vehicle never skipped a beat.

Ordered this and the USB programmer. Programmer worked well. Wanted to change the bad one first to prove to me that it worked. Problem was that it was difficult to determine which sensor was bad. Not the fault of the equipment, but just an observation. Because the sensor was dead, the programmer picked up the other sensors. Needed to change two out before I got to the one that was bad. On the next car, I figured out to take a reading, then reduce the air pressure and take another reading to see if it corresponded to the reduced air pressure. As I moved around the car, I reduced the pressure to different levels to ensure I knew which tire was which. Then I got a reading that I couldn’t ID….it was the spare. This time, I got the bad sensor in one try. Now that I know it works, I’ll change out the rest. The sensors I received were missing the torque pin. I emailed customer service and the next day, they sent some to me in the mail. When you are installing these, make sure you have a torque wrench that can meter to 4 N-m or 3 ft-lbs.
